The Astros traded Troy Patton, Matt Albers, Luke Scott and two minor leaguers to the Orioles for Miguel Tejada. While I’m glad to have Tejada in town, that sure does seem like a lot to give up, especially for a team that severely needs pitching. It just seems like we’re leveraging the future for a shot now, but Patton was one of our best prospects and people have been dying to see him in an Astros uniform for several years now, and now we’re never going to get a chance.
