You just had to know this was coming sooner or later.
The folks over at MySpace have finally relented to public pressure and hired a Chief Security Officer by the name of Hemanshu Nigam. Nigam is a former federal prosecutor and recently served as director of consumer security for Microsoft. Nigam will be charged with the task of keeping millions of kids safe and sound, and that’s a good thing, because MySpace is really starting to get a bad name with parents across the US and the world. A really good way to kill your business is to become a social concern, and MySpace is right on the cusp of doing just that, so hopefully this hire is a step in the right direction towards fixing that issue.
