Thus far I stand at 6 for 8, which isn’t a bad rate of success.
Indianapolis Colts vs. New England Patriots: Betting against the Patriots this late in the postseason is insane, especially when they just finished making you look like a fool a day ago. For some reason, though, I feel like Peyton Manning is going to return to his early season form in this game, making it near impossible to beat the Colts. Teams struggled with the Colts until the very end of the season, and there’s a reason they were so unbeatable, and his name is Peyton Manning. I know Tom Brady’s a Hall of Famer, I know he’s 12-1 in the playoffs (including 6-1 on the road), and I know I should have learned my lesson by picking against them in the playoffs, but apparently I haven’t, as I’m going with Manning and the Colts to upset the Pats even though they’re the favorites. Winner: Colts
New Orleans Saints vs. Chicago Bears: Oh, when the Saints go marching in. They’ve been my NFC Super Bowl pick since week four of the season, and I’m going to stick with that pick even though they’re playing the mighty Bears. Much has been written about the vaunted Bears defense (and with good reason), but the Saints are more of a cinderella team than I can ever remember in the NFL. Obviously, they’re the feel good pick, but if Drew Brees plays to the level of his regular season and Duece and Reggie put up the kind of numbers they have been, it will be really, really tough for the Bears to stop them the entire game. Winner: New Orleans Saints
