This is pretty fantastic — a Pennsylvania company called Powercast has created a method for turning radio waves into electricity. Chris Pirillo says it’s a game-changer, and I completely agree. I can’t imagine being able to simply sit down at my desk and have my cell phone charge, still in my pocket, without having to plug anything into the wall.
Of course, the article in question is titled April 1, which means it could very well be an April Fools joke. I doubt CNN Money would pull a prank like that, especially two days early, but stranger things have happened.
